Why Stay at the Conference Hotel?

You'll be in the center of conference activity. You'll be able to network easily with other conference attendees. You'll have a better conference experience overall. Also, based on a guaranteed percentage of attendees staying in the official conference venue, the hotel provides discounted​ group​ rates from their normal charges.

If the conference does not meet the contracted sleeping room commitment, the hotel in some cases can charge the conference for the missing revenue. Unfilled rooms can cost the ​conference thousands of dollars which can apply pressure to increase the conference registration fees to offset these costs. So, please support the conference by staying at the official conference hotel. We think you will find the increased networking opportunities, quality hotel services and amenities, and proximity to the conference activities to be well worth it!

The conference hotel is booking up fast and may be near or at capacity at the ISCA’18 discount rate. If you are unable to secure your room reservation at the conference hotel, below is a list of hotels near the vicinity of the conference hotel/venue. All of these hotels are roughly within about a half mile distance from the InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown hotel. There are no guaranteed room blocks for ISCA’18 attendees at these hotels and, hence, these hotels may or may not have rooms available at a reasonable price. Also, we have not checked the quality of these hotels and their amenities; please use your own discretion in booking the hotel that matches your needs. As such, we encourage you to check with different hotels to see if they have quality rooms available within your budget.

For student attendees, we have arranged for a limited number of residential rooms at the USC Village to be booked on the campus of the University of Southern California (USC), which is within 5 miles of the conference venue/hotel. The discounted room rates (excluding taxes and a $5 registration fee) range from $52 per night (for double occupancy sharing a one-bedroom or two-bedroom apartment) to $62 per night (for sharing a two-bedroom apartment) to $67 per night (for a single occupancy one-bedroom apartment). For ground transportation between the USC Village and the InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown hotel, you can either take the Metro using the Expo Line (see the light blue colored metro line on the LADOT schedule/map; from the USC Village, catch it from the Jefferson/USC Expo Line Station and exit at the 7th Street Metro Center which is across the street from the InterContinental LA Downtown hotel) or take the DASH local bus using Route F which comes every 10 minutes during the week and every 20 minutes on the weekends (see the magenta colored bus route on the LADOT schedule/map; catch it from one of the Jefferson Blvd stops and exit at the Figueroa & 7th Street stop).
